Monday August 10th 2009 - Light Photography & Photoshop
On this Monday of work , was a different Monday. Meg, one of our instructors showed up with a couple of blankets and made a fort. Then they went inside and guess what? They did light graffiti. I saw the result and it was really interesting. I personally didn't wanna do it because i actually wanted to do it in my own time. I just wanted to know how to do it. Meg explained to me that the shutter speed needs to be at least five seconds and has to be in a dark place or room. The results were really beautiful . I didn't post any today, but in the future I will post some photos. Today I just photoshopped and caught up with the powerpoints. This Saturday is my crews performance at the Laos talent show. I hope we do good. enjoy the photos I photoshopped.

Monday August 3rd, 3009 - Inside photography
Today was a fine but hot day, we stayed inside and worked on our PowerPoint. we had to make 3 PowerPoint by the end of the day. First we picked our best photos that told stories, Then we edited them in photoshop . There are no pictures for today because I want it to be a surprise for when we actually see the PowerPoint. Most of the pictures i posted already are already my best photos. Later when Rich came we started looking at photo journalism, and awards they gave out on this special website. I learned that there are much more people that have worse situations than us. People die from the most weird ways and cruel. I hope I could learn about them more and help prevent this.

Monday July 20th 2009 - Alki Adventure
"The image below is a carrot cake
made in Alki bakery"
This Monday we got another adventure , but this time we went to Alki . we all split up into our different groups. Each group had different instructors. Meg led one group, which i was in. and Leslie and Richard led the other group . Megs group went to Alki beach. while Leslie's group went to Linkin Park. Hai offered taking us to Alki with his car . and of course we couldn't refuse. so we got into his car and headed to Alki. i took many different pictures at the park we had parked at. I did not notice there are many different type of colors. For example warm, cold, and neutral. I also tried playing with self timer. and zooming . i learned many things. for example playing with the exposure and everything. the exposure really affects the pictures a lot. we had an assignment and we had to take many different pictures in a different point of view. enjoy the pictures i have taken. (; More coming later.

July 15th 2009 - Playground & Park
At Delridge Community Center, There was bank of America volunteers, neighborhood volunteers and many others. why? because they are now making the new play ground just for Delridge Community center. As we came in we noticed the big pile of wood. later on we found out they're making a playground. this Friday they are going to cut the ribbon. All summer interns are supposed to be there at 1:30 Pm and take photos on how it is going. After we had that fun taking pictures of the volunteers and who has the whole thing running, the interns got to go to this park . We took many photos of nature, plants and wildlife. I did not get any photos of wild life. but i did get some plants and a spider Web, without the spider on it. everyone was tired and exhausted from the long walk. we noticed that there weren't that much birds or anything we could have taken. "the picture above is a spider web i found while people were trying to avoid the web. it is caught from a top angle. If you click on the image the detail of the web will show better."
I learned about ISO, and the day light functions. we had much fun but it was really hot !

July 14th 2009 - Street Fair Images
On a nice sunny day we had to sit inside and upload our photos. pretty fun huh? Then after all we had to do was Photoshop them. Seems pretty easy right? Well it isn't because i am a really picky person and i have to have my pictures perfect or really close to perfect before i can post them up.

July 10th 2009 - West Seattle Street fest.
Today we went to West Seattle Street Fest we took many pictures . i had fun working with a new person i never even worked with . we walked up and down the street fair like it was nothing. i saw many stands i liked to take photographs of. but not any that was really interesting and i could write a story about. so i walked further and further down the street and i found a stand where he dried paint and then carved shapes into it. we saw many shapes as in the space needle and pike place market. I couldn't take the camera home so no pictures today.

July 7th 2009 - Photography
Today at work , We photographed a dog (luke). that was leslie's dog. it was pretty fun and challenging because of all the people around the dog . I learned we have to be nice but pushy in order to get the pictures you really want. I got around 2 picutres i liked out of the thirty something pictures i took of luke. later we had to learn about Photoshop elements. This was a huge downgrade to me. there was no pen tool, effects or properties at all that i was really used to at home. I usually spend 1-2 hours at least at home to play around with photoshop and create new pictures. Today was a pretty productive day.

7-6-09 Photography
First day of photography, was pretty easy. i learned many things. my partner i had , his name was nick. and i learned that he has way more creativity than i personally do. The way he thought about taking his pictures were interesting. i took more far away pictures than he did. the way he took pictures were from different angles. which made the pictures more fun to look at. We took turns taking different picures . I noticed Nick has A way more Different style in photography than i do .
